Once all the dull paperwork and payment is done we get to the fun parts! You will be carefully matched with other musicians to form your unique band, and you will also be joining a thriving network of local musicians eager to learn, grow and perform! You will be provided with details of scheduled rehearsals, requirements etc too..
Meet, Greet and start the Beat!
At our first “get together” you’ll meet your new bandmates and our passionate skilled experienced tutors. We'll go over all the parts of the Band Builder program, and you can get to work on song selection, inventing a memorable band name and song selection ideas.
Rehearsals
There will be multiple rehearsals each of @ 2 hours which will be a fun mix of “band practice” together with expert guidance by your tutors to help you learn all you need to become a successful band. Key themes will include: showmanship, band unity, musical skills, sound recording, band etiquette, working as a “team” etc. Expect advice on all aspects of band life including; stories of the road; highs and lows; expectations; Working with others; playing tips and much more.
Cut Demo Tracks
Once your band is finding its rhythm, and things are starting to gel, we can make time to cut a simple “demo” of your chosen songs! Terrific experience for all learner musicians, and a wonderful memento to share with family and friends!
You will be given digital audio files of each song. You will learn the basics of the recording process and sound engineering too!
Final Rehearsal
Typically a day or so before OR on the morning of the show in the venue on the same stage possibly. You will learn last minute tips on stage lighting, sound systems, stagecraft, and get the chance to put that “final polish” on your performance skills! A great way to ease those “last minute nerves” and get a good “feel” for your big show!
"Knock 'em dead!"
“Show time!!” This is where all that hard work and learning comes together and you have a BLAST strutting your funky stuff in front of your hometown audience! Local Media will probably be there too, so there’s a good chance you will get some valuable publicity too! We will be there every step of the way through your performance!!!
