Overview

• Topics covered include: miking up a kit, room acoustics, operating a mixing desk, using a DAW to edit, mix and master your music, rehearsals, recordings, and a great deal more, all delivered in a fun relaxed way, just like your lessons!!

• The course will typically run over an 8 week period in a series of sessions, allowing time for you to work on ideas learned and get ready for the next step. We will schedule the sessions at times to suit you, including at weekends.

Who is the course for?

• To get the best out of the course you will probably be an intermediate to advanced player and looking to expand your skills beyond just playing the kit to being able to thrive in a recording environment and  contribute so much more to the music you are creating!​

• The course would particularly suit:

  • Drummers in bands needing to prepare for laying down drum tracks in a studio OR at home.​

  • Enthusiast drummers who just want to expand their skills and understanding of this exciting aspect of being a well rounded musician.

So what's the “Pro Level” Option?

• The main difference between the “Home studio” and "Pro Level" option of the course is that when we get to the recording and mixing stage of the course we will travel to a world class recording studio and work with award winning audio engineers, so not only will you get experience what's it like have access to the very best facilities and equipment but also the chance to learn directly from experts in their field who will help you achieve the highest of quality recordings of your playing and then guide you through how they would mix it. If you are really serious about your playing this will be an invaluable experience.

• One nice little extra will be that we will also record a video of your learning and playing at the studio that we’ll give you free as a permanent reminder of this very special day!

• The pricing for the Pro Level option is $1018 for regular students, and $1335 for non students (all prices are +5% GST)

 

Notes

• Note: To qualify as a “regular student” and claim the 20% course discount you must have had a minimum of 4 regular drum lessons in the previous 12 months AND you must continue regular lessons until the Bootcamp is finished! (and hopefully beyond too if you are enjoying them! But it's certainly not required to claim the discount)

• Payment is in 2 stages: 50% in advance and the balance halfway through the course prior to recording.
