Talent Competition

Our brand new “stand-alone” event showcasing the fantastic musical talents of our local youth. (Think “Canada's Got Talent” BUT with a LOT less Razzamatazz!) Ever wanted to just “get out there and do your thang!” Well this is the opportunity to gain exposure, get some valuable experience playing live, receive honest feedback from music industry professionals, have a great time AND perhaps win a fantastic prize too!! 

• Open to any musicians 18 or under living in the Cochrane area,(solo artists, bands, whatever) 

• Terrific cash and in-kind prizes for the best acts as chosen by the Judges!

• Each Act performs one song, and will get feedback from our special panel of judges.

• Local Media coverage is expected! So who knows: “Today the Lions Club: tomorrow The Super Bowl halftime show!

• Spaces are strictly limited! So act fast if you want to perform!!!!

• The Talent Competition is free to watch, so please bring along all your cheering family & friends!!!

The Talent competition is hosted by the wonderful songstress, bandleader, theatrical entertainer and all-round showbiz Diva!

(And who knows, she might just throw in the odd song herself too!)

Jacklyn Sparrow is a Songstress, Bandleader, Theatrical Entertainer and a Master of Ceremonies.

Jacklyn owns and operates a small local entertainment production company called Jacklyn Sparrow Productions specializing in helping people

host unique and vibrant social gatherings within the private party and corporate event market.

Jacklyn began her career entertaining at high end functions in the corporate and private party markets in her home town of Montreal.

Jacklyn decided to make a new home for her talents a number of years ago and has been delighting audiences in the western provinces ever since.

Jacklyn has an unusually broad repertoire with something for everyone.

Because of her diverse musical and theatrical offerings, Jacklyn customizes her music and performances to each individual client’s function or venue.

Audiences are delighted by the heartfelt passion and dynamics of Jacklyn’s performances, her outstanding vocal ability and the creative costumed show pieces she is known for.
